Independent Domestic Violence Advocates – Ministry Of Justice / Thames Valley Police
We are delighted to announce thanks to the Ministry Of Justice and Thames Valley Police we have been funded for 2 places for IDVA training of our survivor facilitators to gain the qualification. IDVA’s are qualified to support high risk domestic abuse victim/survivors and help with safety planning and support through their journey including court processes and advocating for the victim/survivor with other services/organisations. As survivors ourselves and knowing how vital that support is we are delighted to be able to provide this as part of our ‘by and for’ charity. The qualification is in depth training which lasts nearly a year and we are delighted to say we now have qualified IDVAs as part of our survivor led team!! Massive thanks to the Office of Police and Crime Commision for the Thames Valley and Ministry of Justice for making this possible, we are truly grateful as are our clients and this will benefit so many.
