Fun with Mum Funding from the Wokingham Lions Club
We are delighted and grateful to announce we have received funding from the Wokingham Lions Club to go towards supporting our monthly Fun with Mum groups held in Wokingham.
Our monthly groups are attended by clients of all ages to come together and have lots of fun, food and freedom.
Our safe space allows families who have been subjected to domestic abuse to gain peer support, make friendships, take part in our activities, games, play areas and crafts as well as have some dinner together….all with a focus on FUN!!
Domestic abuse impacts can be long lasting and so often the fun can be sucked out of family life, and we wanted to help change that and meet the gaps identified locally for long term specialist support services and also fill the needs shown by most who attend our support services, we are blown away by the response of the ever growing group.
This funding will make such a huge difference and mean that we can continue expanding, we are very grateful to the Wokingham Lions for making that possible while celebrating their 50th year as part of the Golden Awards.
