A Royal Party!

Our founder and CEO Vickie Robertson BEM was awarded the British empire medal by the King in his first birthday honours for services to domestic violence victim-survivors and refugees.

This honour was bestowed to Vickie in September 2023 by the Lord Lieutenant.

Due to this incredible honour Vickie was invited to attend the Royal Garden party at Buckingham Palace on May the 8th and took one of our amazing Trustee’s Laura along with her.

They both had an incredible day and weather at the stunning and memorable event, meeting faces known and new, soaking up the rays and the atmosphere,whilst having a rare day of indulgence and celebration.

Both said just how amazing it was and that they were thankful and blessed to be among the fabulous people all doing incredible things in our country and community,everyone was in good spirits and seeing the Royal family and King being so interactive was very special. The bands were so talented, the food delicious and from start to finish it was truly a relaxed but empowering and spectacular day.

Thank you to the Royal family for the invitation and for supporting all in our community trying their best to help others. Memories made for a lifetime, feeling blessed and honoured.
