Domestic Violence Awareness Month

As you may already know October is Domestic violence awareness month #DVAM and throughout October we at Kaleidoscopic UK we are committed to raising as much awareness, challenging myths, highlighting reality, impacts and gaps as possible.

Domestic violence doesn’t happen to a select few, or only one month a year, it happens in every country, in every community, every second of every day, perpetrated by someone supposed to love and care for us.

1 in 3 women, 1 in 5 children and 1 in 6 men will be subjected to domestic violence at one time in their life, together we can change that.

On 10th October in light of #DVAM we held our annual Domestic Abuse Prevention Conference.

We shared daily info graphics and posts across all our socials and would like to thank all who supported, got involved in many ways by providing likes, comments and shares or their own thoughts to help us raise as much awareness as possible. Domestic violence breeds in silence so it is really important we break that and have open and honest conversations and information shared.

In addition we held Domestic Violence and healthy relationship, age appropriate workshops to children in local schools across the Thames Valley area (educate2eradicate)

We have also created a dedicated campaign page to Domestic Violence Awareness Month #DVAM on our newly launched Peoples fundraising dashboard where you will find a one stop shop with information on all of our campaigns, events, merch shops and much much more.

Please go and check it out at the links below and get involved all year.
